This Tanto is signed Naminohira Yasumasa, Naminohira was a Smith in Satsuma province.
The fuchigashira are of a high quality and signed by Ichijosai Hirotoshi, this work is typical of this master craftsman.
The blade is in fresh polish and good condition despite a couple of small ware. The Hada is paticularily enjoyable on this piece with many activities. The Tsuba is also a nice piece depicting a crane in silver with plum flowers.
